Baha'i Faith, Nevada County California

"So powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth."

The Baha'is of Nevada County welcome you!

The Baha'i Faith in Nevada County California is part of a worldwide religious community united by the belief that there is one God, one human race, and that all the world's great religions are one at their core.

Founded in 1844, the Baha'i Faith today has grown to more than 5 million adherents. Baha'is come from nearly every national, ethnic and religious background  and reside in more than 200 countries. Baha'i sacred writings have been translated into more than 800 languages.

At the heart of Baha’i belief is the conviction that humanity is a single people with a common destiny. In the words of Baha’u’llah, (1817-1892), the Founder of the Baha’i Faith, "The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens."

Therefore, the main theme of the Baha’i message is unity.  Baha’u’llah taught that there is only one God, that all the world’s religions represent one progressively revealed and eternal faith of God, and that all humanity is one race, destined to live in peace and harmony.
